Dolls Houses Past & Present

I have loved dolls all my life.  Unlike many other girls, mine rarely were playthings, they were simply things to dress, arrange, and look at.  I spent ages rearranging and setting up my miniature rooms, but as soon as I'd finish, I had no interest in "play".  I'd already played.  The only exception to this was when I'd borrow my brother's G.I. Joe dolls (excuse me, "action figures") and building materials, or the parachute which I would use to throw my Barbies off the jungle gym.  Still, with my tomboy ways and resistance to girly things until well into my adulthood, I still fell in love with the classy, ornate elegance of my Petite Princess/Princess Patti miniatures, and this love only increased when I got older and was finally able to fulfill my fantasy of a nearly-full set.  I so love miniatures.  They're my perfect little world.
